We would like to welcome Maria Bailey to our team. She has recently been hired to oversee our Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, and we are very excited to have her join us!
Maria has lived in St. George for twenty-one years. The past fourteen of which she spent working with older adults, and says that she loves the impact they have had on her life. Maria, herself, is a widow, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, so she is able to understand and connect with those she works with and serves.
When Maria is not working, she loves crafting, being creative, fishing, and camping. She is also learning about the Keto lifestyle and loves trying new recipes, which she says brings out her creative side and drives her to personalize them. Above all, Maria's greatest joy is spending time with her children, Chris and his wife Natalie, who live in Sandy, Utah and Jennifer and her husband Armondo, who live in Georgia, as well as her six beautiful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In her new role, Maria will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the RSVP program in the Five County Region (Washington, Iron, Beaver, Kane, and Garfield counties). This will include recruiting seniors age 55+, training, and assigning them to various volunteer opportunities based on interest and need, and tracking their progress and recognizing them for their contributions.
Please join us in welcoming Maria as the newest AAA-Five County Team Member!
